Character Information:

Character Name: Juno Eclipse
Age: Unspecified, presumeably early twenties
Canon: Star Wars (The Force Unleashed)
Appearance:

Juno is a striking presence in all sense of the word. With her ridiculous cheekbones, platinum hair and blue eyes she sets off the ice queen image rather well. Her arms are typically crossed over her chest in standard Don't Mess position, and her looks can be intimidating. Typically she is seen wearing standard pilot's clothes.

Personality:

Juno is a very driven woman, to say the least. When we are first introduced to her in the games, she comes across as a determined and highly capable officer ready to stand her ground. Not much changes by the end of the games, but there is more to Juno Eclipse than just the uniform. She is a person who is ruled by her sense of ethics, duty, and also a slight need for acceptance and approval.  When dealing with people, Juno tends to have a rather stubborn approach to them. While she can, and often does, follow orders, it's clear that there is a bit of a backbite to how she interacts with her superiors, and for the love of all things holy, do not touch her cockpit.

Juno's ambition is stemmed more from a sense of personal pride rather than an intense craving for rank or power. She has a strong attachment to her sense of duty and loyalty, and because of that she was quickly seen as a model officer within the Imperial Fleet. Yes, that's right. Imperial. As flashbacks from The Force Unleashed novels provide, Juno's sense of military obligation was often at odds with her desire to follow orders and serve proudly. Unlike her counterparts within the fleet, Juno was often second-guessing the needless cruelty of the empire, and it plays into a strong guilt she has over her own actions within the military, such as the bombing of a defeated planet. Juno's past is a conflicted one, and her desire for approval has often been at odds with her need to do what was right. While not necessarily searching for the moral highground in any situation, Juno serves as a gray area, constantly trying to define the boundaries of right and wrong. Her morality is what leads to her defection from the Imperials (and, well, the six months of torturing- but that's neither here nor there), having it trump over her personal, and repressed desire for her father's approval.

Outside of the military, Juno's personality tends to lean towards an inquisitive mind and a pronounced curiosity. Her mind typically gets the better of Juno, leading her to planting bugs and rifling through restricted files in canon to satisfy her inquisitiveness. Often, whenever she is piloting to new worlds, her thoughts are often distracted by things such as the xenobiology of a planet, as well as how it functions. She is a person rather concerned with pragmatics, and Juno has a pretty scientific and logical mindset.

Overall, the strongest trait of Juno's character is the connection she makes with Galen, and what it reflects for both of them. Referred to as "the one bright spot" that Kota finds within Galen, their relationship is in every sense a play on the Power of Love. As both are in a sense outsiders, they come together over the one bright spot of hope. Juno serves as a figure of humanity and compassion to Galen, and he in return makes her want to fight back.

Background:

Ta da!

Canon point:

Following Galen's death on the Death Star I, when she has brought the Alliance leaders to Kashyyyk and had a heart to heart with Kota. I think this is a good place for her to start finding her footing in the war effort, as well as a lolsy place for her to react to Galen being alive.

Special Abilities:

Juno is a Captain in the military, and has shown exempliary skill with both command and piloting. She is also adept at mechanics and astronavigation

Sect:

Civilian to start, will be enlisting with the Republic military

Job:

Captain

Third Person:

Typical, was the only word that came to mind as Juno sat in the pilot's chair, her chin cradled in her leather-gloved hand as she sighed, blowing up some wayward strands of blonde with the motion. The ship was on the verge of decay, and the hydrolics tests had rendered little hope for an inexpensive recovery. Coolant lines were shot. Navigational systems about two standard years out of date. And, to put it delicately, the command chairs were lacking in the cushion area.

Still. A free ship to pilot was a free ship to pilot, and Juno forced herself to push back the frustrations that came along with a neverending list of repairs to be thankful for the drunk rodian betting parts from a junkyard at the pazaak table.

"Youngest applicant to the Imperial Flight Academy," she flipped on a switch, the cargo hauler roared to a sputtering, messy life, "First of her class at Corulag," another switch, and the comm systems burst open in a violent assault on the ears, "...promoted to Captain at the age of eighteen..." a gasket blew.

"Proud owner of scrap metal."

Juno groaned, leaning back in her chair, "Why did I sign up for this again?"

The way her eyes drifted towards the back of the ship, where a man sat in meditation, was probably the answer.
